Asbestos Testing 

Asbestos Testing involves taking a sample of suspect material and lab analysis to see if it contains asbestos or not.

This service is perfect for if you are a homebuyer , homeowner or seller. We can sample mostly all materials and provide you with a UKAS accredited certificate to prove the outcome either way.

The Lab results will provide a summary of the material we have sampled , location it was removed from and the type of asbestos present (if found positive).

We offer either a fast track or standard results service , so if you are in a hurry to receive results , we can get these to you between 24-48 from when the sample is taken.

BEFORE BUYING A HOUSE - BUILT PRE-2000

If you plan to buy a house which is dated pre-2000 , then there may be materials the home surveyor has identified as suspicious or you may have a niggling feeling the ceiling contains asbestos. We can arrange an appointment with the Estate Agent , Landlord , Seller on your behalf and carry out the sampling. This is a common practice with homebuyers , so do not be afraid to ask for this service , you need to be clear on whether the house you intend to buy contains asbestos or not.

RENOVATING A HOME - BUILT PRE-2000

If you plan to renovate your home and it was built before the year 2000 , it may contain asbestos. We always advise to get the areas tested before renovation works start. The last thing you want to do is book an electrician in to re-wire your house and he steps away from the job because he suspects asbestos.

With fast results provided , it is a really hassle free service.

For a more in-depth renovation which involves a lot of intended damage to the fabric of the building , it is recommended to have an Asbestos Refurbishment Survey carried out , the refurb surveys are very intrusive but will find out if there are any asbestos containing materials behind partitions or above ceiling voids.

SELLING A HOME - BUILT PRE-2000

If you're selling an older home , we always advise to get suspicious areas tested for asbestos or an Asbestos Management Survey carried out.
